It rained overnight, and was still drizzling in the morning, took me a while still to pack up camp and only made it out of there at 9... got to get better at waking up. Yet i am alot more sore today that yesterday. Was treated to a frikken cool 15km gentle downhill. My faith restored in God I came into a small town (population 2 million, tiny by chinese standards) called YangQing. Thats where i am now, writing this and this is probably the most uncomfortable seat ever. just carbo loaded on the old 'liang mian' cold noodle, drowned in oil (mmmm)

Its 11:40 now and will buy snack for lunch, before setting out again... (to be continued)

... venture out of the small town, more downhill through some tree lined roads with a stiff tail wind to help me out. Beautiful, what could be better..?

Suddenly, a sign comes up in front of me stating 'Herbei Province', end of Beijing it seems. From perfect newly laid tar roads, gradual desintigration occurs and start cycling over rubble and mud. This combined with enough trucks to shake a stick at, I yearn the mountain passes of the day before. Alas i continue until ive breathed enough carbon monoxide to kill a small elephant, stop by a road side truck stop motel for the night. Have a blissfull sleep amidst the roaring trucks in the background.

Also met a german guy called Hannes this day, he's just finishing his 7000km journey. I leave him with the contact details of Josh and Trip in Beijing, i believe he is being well looked after.
